# Rome

F; specifically, the Holy See. Usually that is identified in my mind with the modern city (as in, “the diocese is referring the case to Rome”), but other than that unpleasantness with the French\* the two have co-located for most of the last 1,900 years or so.

\*The Avignonese Papacy, aka the Babylonian Captivity of the Church, aka the beginning of the Great Western Schism.
