Romney beats Obama to Louisiana.

Romney was not very useful to a homeless Isaac victim- he told her to go home and call 211.

““He just told me to, um, there’s assistance out there,” Chiarello said of her conversation with Romney. “He said, go home and call 211.” That’s a public service number offered in many states.”

What I find funny about that quote is that there are intelligent ways to ask that question. Such as “Was the damage mostly caused by storm surge or by rain-induced flooding?” Instead, we get the meteorological equivalent of “Lemon. Wet. Good.”

weird farm spam reported.

I have to assume that this quote was followed by an ominous pause, and then (with just a hint of a smile), “for now.”

Evil laugh optional.

The next six months will be crucial.

Good GOD, how long does it take to get a software upgrade for this guy? Could you imagine him in negotiations with foreign leaders?

As a conservative Republican, I disagree with Jindal. Romney holds no elective office. He has no power to do anything. Anything he does will simply get in the way with the Secret Service protection and all. It’s shameless campaigning.

Issue a statement and move on.

Friedman didn’t say where he thought Obama should be in the polls (that was my opinion). He just commented on the quality of the campaign, and I agree with him. From what I’ve seen, it’s been mostly negative attacks that strike me as petty and cynical. It isn’t like there’s nothing positive for Obama to hang his hat on. For one thing, the majority of voters want medicare, so why not emphasize what has been a huge accomplishment for him instead of diverting attention to an opponent who attracts enough negative attention on his own. Maybe timing is everything and Obama’s waiting till the convention to change gears, but so far, his campaign has struck me as dull and uninspired for someone who’s shown as much poise and charisma as he has in the past.

Sort of thing happens even in the best families! Don’t give up, we’re here for you!

You all have tried for years. It won’t work.

I don’t know if there’s a general election poll, but there’s no reason to think it will be. What actually matters is whether Obama authorized whatever emergency resources are required to help the people who’ve been hurt or displaced by Isaac, and I assume he has. His actual appearance in the state does little and Romney’s does nothing.

Go home? As in the home that she lost in the storm? Class act, Willard.

Yeah, racing somewhere first in order to grab the spotlight is only a good thing if you don’t get attention by calling the country a company, asking childish questions about where water comes from, oe telling a disaster victim to call information.

Obama ought to lose every such attention grabbing race to Romney.

Now we have Harry Reid calling Romney a hypocrite, and saying that Paul Ryan’s budget would gut disaster funding.
