I honestly didn’t care enough to fact check it (and I don’t share stuff like that I haven’t verified) because frankly it was trivial even if true and didn’t change my opinion of the man either way, but it seemed vaguely relevant here. Except we may not know. Nate Silver has the effectiveness of voter suppression at about one to two percent, which may be enough. Pretty much exactly what they had in mind, figuring they wouldn’t need more. Now, if Romney wins, we won’t know what the real truth might have been. If Obama wins, we will know, because he “beats the spread”. The horror. The horror. ---

Film at 11.” My brother had no earthly idea what the words “film at eleven” might refer to, and I had to explain the reference to him _in detail_ … including the very existence of local news that airs regularly at 11 PM. The boy’s barely ever seen _commercials_, let alone a local TV news. I feel old. ---
