McDonald’s is not going to retire the McRib. McDonald’s is not going to make it a permanent menu item. AFAICT, the reason that they introduce it for a short time periodically is that you’d get tired of it after so long, and it would lose the McRib magic. (That, and McRibs really suck from the other side of the counter.) ---

Could just be a New England (or maybe just coastal) specific thing, usually in the summer, New England Mickey-D’s sell small, overpriced, understuffed lobster rolls, they _look_ reasonably authentic, if it’s 10% lobster meat\*\*, the molds they use to form the McLobster compound are pretty darn realistic \*\*i’m sure you’re joking about the 10% thing, the Mickey’s around here proudly trumpet the fact they’re 100% lobster, rubbery, overcooked lobster, but lobster nonetheless… and for $4.00 for a roll 3/4 the size of a hot dog roll, they’re also rather overpriced still, it’s strange to see lobster rolls promoted at mickey-d’s of all places, especially considering i can find _real_ lobster rolls without even trying hard ---

Is like 70$US per person , but you get to pack lobster in for 3 hours or something like that. I think our roomie Phlip and I tore through 9 lobsters each one memorable day about 3 years ago =) \ ---
