The story I heard from the next people who opened a restaurant in the same spot (which is also now closed, more’s the pity) was that the owner of El Arroyo closed the place because his wife was either really sick with the cancer or perhaps in fact went ahead and died from it, and he just couldn’t keep the place going. Now it’s some italian place. I haven’t tried it… too sad over the death of The Ditch. ---

I haven’t eaten at McDonald’s in forever, but asking my husband I find that they haven’t had McRib around here (Baltimore) in a long time - years. I haven’t had a McRib in about 15 years, and HOLY COW do I want one right this very second. Damn it. ---

This reminds me of an old computer rpg I had where the solution to defeating the game was to feed the dragon a mcrib. Absolutely pointless, but I thought I’d share it. 🙂 FWIW, never eaten one myself.
