Room 101 is not about your greatest fear. Room 101 is the place where they do to you what you find absolutely, totally, uncontrollably horrible - so horrible that you would rather have it done to someone you love rather than undergo it yourself. Because you’re not supposed to love anyone besides Big Brother. Love for anyone besides Big Brother is thoughtcrime, and the thoughtcrime must be eliminated, leaving only your love for Big Brother, before you are annihilated. We don’t want you to talk; we want you to love Big Brother with every fiber of your being. So. Go, and think of the one person whom for whom you would rather die than see harmed in the slightest. Now start to think of the things that fill you with dread, and think about whether you’d rather go through it yourself - or have it done to that one person you’re thinking of. Then come back and post. ---

Some of us know what Room 101 is/was. Believe me, I am not _afraid_ of junebugs (well, except for that really, really big one that was in my parents’ kitchen) but if you were to give me the choice of being put in a room full of junebugs where I would have to step on, sit on or stand on them and they would touch me and crawl on me and get in my hair and crawl over my eyelids and into my mouth if I opened it and…_shudders_ well, between that and having some other person, _any other person_, endure that, I choose **B**. ---
