That’s so…dumb. They had her going in to surgery the next day. Have something come up during surgery. Just one of those things. It makes it sudden and brutal without being just…weird. ---

They had set up her addiction, she had pills hidden all over the house and freaked out that someone was stealing them. Why is an overdose any odder than dying during a very routine knee surgery? Also, we don’t know what the real plotline is yet. Maybe they’ll combine them: the amount of opiods she took screwed up the anesthesia or something. ---

I just feel like, if they’re going to go for an overdose, she’d need to be there for it. Either to establish the increasing severity of the addiction–and her moving to riskier sources–or, at the least, to show her state immediately beforehand. If they had half a season with the actress, this could work; show the decline. As a “when we return”, it’s, IMHO, sloppy.
