You can all laugh. It’ll be Eagles-Patriots. Last year I said the Patriots were the best team in the NFL, and everyone laughed. Unless McNabb is hurt worse than I think, in which case it’s Saints-Patriots. ---

That’s pretty serious IMHO. I can’t believe he played the rest of the game on it. That’s downright “Favre-esque” And you know what? Why all this bitching about Favre? I’m sorry, but more so than just about any other player, Favre DOES give you a chance to win. He is the one player in the league you never, ever ever bet against. I’m sorry, but it’s true. I’m sorry Chicago has to deal with the twin powerhouses of Chandler and Miller at the QB. But that doesn’t change the fact that if you choose one player to build your franchise around, you pick Favre. (Well, for one season, anyway. If we’re looking long term then you probably pick McNabb or Vick. But that’s beside the point…) And I’m sorry to spoil your little pity party, **jarbaby** , but Cincinatti is by far the worst team in the league. It’s not even close and I refuse to argue about this. Cincinatti is the worst. Case closed. The Bears can be second worst, though. ---

And the reason there isn’t a whole lot of scathing criticism about Favre is that he’s really fucking good. A top 5 quarterback of all time, I’d say, and definitely top 10. And **Mully** : the Pack have beaten Atlanta, the Patriots, and Miami, not exactly the easiest teams to beat. And all this success while losing vital starters. They’re for real. ---

Plus, with the Bills and Jets breathing down their necks, the Pats will have their work cut out for them - I have to wonder if they can do it, since they really have had a lot of on-again-off-again moments, on both offense and defense. The rest of the season will have to be pretty damn on-again for the Pats to even make the playoffs, and I wonder if they’re up to it. As for the Saints (assuming McNabb’s injury is enough to knock out the Eagles), well, I haven’t paid any attention to them at all, so I’ll go somewhere and shut up. ---

Just signed on…found this site a few days ago & I’m just in awe of the topics and rantings going on. But just wanted to offer my 2 cents on this subject. Yes, I’m a cheese head & have lived thru such a drought of their losing for quite a while. I got hooked with the “sneek” with Starr back in…well…that was a while ago! Since Favre has been here, its been quite a thrill watching the passion he has for the game. He’s a winner. Any franchise would love to have him. We’re glad Atlanta gave him up! Farve has just a few seasons remaining, he knows it. He wants one more ring. If not, he’ll still go out a winner. On another note, Packer fans HATE a losing season, as with any other fan, but as long as we win just 2 games. Against the Bears, of course! ---

See it will be Philly vs. someone in the Superbowl. It goes along with the Philly tradition. We overcome obstacles all the way to the finals where we can lose in a tremendous fashion. Fate is very predicatable when it comes to these things. I’m gonna miss McNabb. I just wanna toss a big neener out to any Cards fans. Next year, we’re gonna tie one of his arms behind his back too for a further handicap. (Yes, I know they beat us 3 out of the last 4 games before last Sunday but I just couldn’t resist. ) 😉 ---
