Count me as another one who thought he was the only person who did this.
I also like the GURPS books a lot - I probably have about two gurps books for every actual session of GURPS I’ve played, and maybe a third of those books have actually been used for a game (in particular I’ve got a lot of GURPS sci-fi stuff which has never, ever, been used. Bloody fantasy snobs… ). They’re interesting, well written and generally very fun to read. On the other hand I still have yet to more than browse my copy of the 3.0 PHB… I’m doing my best to pick up the rules by osmosis without ever having to read the damned thing.
