Any gloat by the OP should take in all of the op-ed columnists who’ve been earnestly assuring us for months now that recent trends and demographics mean the Republican Party is dead dead dead. Except that the G.O.P. just sat up in the cart and said “Not dead yet!” Time for the Dems to employ [new, sophisticated strategies](http://www.mathstat.uottawa.ca/~rsmith/Zombies.pdf) in time for the November election. ---

At least Brown is pro-choice. If the teabaggers want to keep loading the Senate with pro-abortion Republians, that’s ok with me. It’s obvious the Democrats were never going to keep a supermajority anyway, and if the Republicans start trying to filibuster everything like little babies, it will only backfire on them anyway. Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t actually care that much about the result. It’s one seat. Carry on. ---
