Seriously. I live in Massachusetts, and I seriously considered voting for Brown. I don’t support him at all, but Massachusetts Democrats are just way too complacent. You know what’s worse than the (Republicans/Democrats)? Blind partisanship. And it’s stinking up the place. I don’t care who you are or what letter is stamped on your forehead. If you are one of those people who believe that your way is the ONLY way and that everyone else’s ideas are shit, then you are part of the PROBLEM. Our very constitution was drafted in the spirit of compromise. We’re losing that ability, to the detriment of everyone. ---

But the right is the side that uses outright lies and fear-mongering as a standard tool. Brown lied in his acceptance speech. He said HCR would cost us money and burden us with deficits. That’s simply untrue, the CBO says it will save us money, a little in the first ten years and substantially in the second. But no one mentions it because people just expect Republicans to lie. The Democrats aren’t perfect, but they aren’t systemically as unabashedly dishonest as the current crop of Republicans. ---
