Sorry to have come off as judgmental I was only trying to comment on the yin yangness of the situation. The OP seemed to want to know who was ‘more right’. I feel it was something of a wash, is all. She was feeling misjudged, to me. But then could have easily misjudged the other woman, who may have been driving her husband’s car, etc. People misjudge others all the time, it doesn’t seem like bullying to me. No need to stand up for anything, to my mind. If you’re out buying 3 cases of beer for your neighbour, and the guy behind you, in line, misjudges you to be a heavy drinker, what do you care what that guy thinks? Does it even cross your mind? Do you feel bullied? If he snorts, do you need to stand up for yourself? Offer an explanation? Because I don’t. But then I don’t care about such trivial misjudgments that must, it seems self evident to me, occur everyday, to everyone. Apologies for not being clearer. ---

Wow, what problems you in the developed world have. Here in the wilds of Kentucky I often get stares of distain when I set my canvas bags on the belt at checkout. Then the bagger universally loads each bag with 40 lbs of groceries, so as to demonstrate the downside of using such bags. Let’s not even get into the checker’s response to the re-useable net bags I have for produce. ---

I guess I wasn’t aware of the existance of a negative association with Jeeps. Is it because they’re potentially destructive in an off road setting? ---
