Let me blow everyone’s minds and say that in my little midwestern elementary school in the 80s we said “ **Like the Flinstones!** ” True story! Second to that is George Washington. Never heard “Columbus.” ---

Mine are different than others have posted thus far. Just quoting the differences: Used to laugh and call him names (like Dumbo) … Join in any reindeer games (like football) As they shouted out with glee (hoo-ray!) … “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in history!” (like Paul Revere) 1970’s Long Island, if anyone cares. ---

Columbus, not the other guy! And all added in words must be shouted in unison in very jerky, accented syllables. And it’s not just the very little 'uns. I was playing Christmas music Monday and The Song happened to shuffle on, and upwards of 50 juniors and seniors (17,18 years old) were belting it out like their lives depended on it. ---

Pinocchio and Columbus here, born in '79, grew up in the NW 'burbs of Chicago. Except, we added a syllable to Columbus to match Pinocchio… “Like Co-lum-bi-us!” ---

Where I grew up we sang some add-ons as the same and some as different. This version was only sung when no adults were around. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer (reindeer) Had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it (saw it) You would even say it glows (like my butt-hole) All of the other reindeer (reindeer) Used to laugh and call him names (like fucking retard) They wouldn’t let poor Roudolph (Rudolph) Join in any reindeer games (like smeer the queer) Then one stormy Christmas eve Santa came to say, “Rudolph with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight” Then all of the other reindeer (reindeer) Laughed and shouted out with glee (with glee) “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in history!” (like my butt-hole) ---
