Nothing to do with elections; just a humdrum case of failing to pay support to his ex-wife, in the amount of $235,000; blew off the court by not appearing; ex-wife got a consent judgment against him.
NY Judge says that if Rudy doesn’t pay up, he’s facing jail time for contempt.

I seem to remember some chatter about him having liquidity problems when he was shilling himself on Cameo (is he still?), but don’t know if that was just wishful thinking from people who have a sense of embarrassment he obviously lacks.

Like TFG, Rudy refuses to take responsibility for his actions, but unlike TFG, he’s a lawyer who knows the consequences. Poor Rudy. After 911, he was a hero in most people’s eyes. Now we see him as he really is—a coward and a fool.

After he lost his presidential try, he should have just retreated to elder statesman positions; president of Columbia University, or something similar. Would have kept his reputation intact.

Rudy may be the one in the inner circle that flips. You know, right now, the DOJ is having (had) some pretty hard conversations with the circle. The first one that flips might, just might, not die in jail.
Trumpy isn’t surrounded by loyal soldiers but by a buncha half assed mercenaries.

Rudy cashed in bigly on 9/11. He has raked in millions from speaking fees alone and he has a security consulting company as well. Most estimates peg his net worth somewhere between 40 and 100 million. He’s most likely not paying due to spite rather than ability.

And Rudy’s got another problem: discipline hearings brought by the DC bar, for uttering false statements about the election being stolen.
His defence appears to be very Trumpian: “I’ve heard from a lot of people that the election was stolen. People are saying…”
