# rules for sigs?

Being a diligent board member who tries to obey the [Rules](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/rules.php?), I was wondering about signatures. Specifically, my sig:

Does it violate this part of the Rules:

I am not a Mod, so I cannot speak to rule enforcement. But I have seen many threads that are to the effect of “How do you rate on this scale?” and I’ve never seen anyone complain.
And in case your curious: -4.12 economic; -2.87 social. That surprised me. I thought I’d be closer to the middle (if not slightly right thereof) on economic relative to my social stance. But oh well. Internet poll. Grain of salt or four.

If you ask me personally, I think that all sig lines are repetitive and boring and annoying. However, official policy is that links in sig lines are OK, within reason, as long as the links aren’t directly to a porn site, advertising site, etc.

Thanks for the clarification!
I don’t really like sigs that much, especially if they’re longer than one or two lines. But they serve a nice personalization function. Of course avatars would be nice, but I know that’ll never happen on this board.
