Hey! I wasn’t even there!! 
Personally I’m grateful for Aliens simply because it gave me the phrase “nuke 'em out of orbit … it’s the only way to be sure.” Passive little me loves saying it!
This I did not know, not having watched Aliens. When the picture was first announced, my reaction was: “That stupid little bint! What does she want to go back out there for?”
My position is unchanged, however. I’d have resigned from the murderous corporation rather than accepted another assignment.
Well, there you go! It’s a good movie to watch, and in all honesty, she does have good reason to go (horrible nightmares that she needs to face, an offer to lead an expedition to exterminate them, and, well…being muscled out of her job into a grunt position by the corporation when she refuses initially. For her own livelyhood’s sake, she had no other choice).
