Here is a [confirmation of the new episodes being in the works](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/14/beavis-and-butthead-comin_n_645715.html). MTV is using the show as part of their plan to get back into more scripted fare, as well as a “backdoor” to going back to showing more videos. ---

Seriously, I’m as excited about this as I was about the return of Futurama. 🙂 I hope the new episodes start soon, rather than sometime in 2011. ---

Best news I’ve had all day. On the occasion that I’ve seen the old ones in their entirety, they haven’t aged a bit. My favorites are the ones with Ralph Nader, the one where they’re in the encounter group (“Share your feelings with the group”), and when David Spade plays the etiquette teacher. It’s probably the only time David Spade has been funny in his life. The supporting cast was awesome as well - Daria, Stewart, Mr. Van Driesen, Buzzcut, and of course Tom Anderson, the proto-Hank Hill. What am I saying? The greatest B&B supporting character was… Todd. BTW, I thought **Cisco’s** costume was totally recognizable. But I’m 38. Get off my lawn! ---

We went to a Halloween party with 200+ roughly college-aged kids, and everybody we talked to asked us who we were. I’ve worn the Beavis shirt a couple times since then and the only comments I’ve gotten are “hey, I like Metallica too.” As huge as Beavis and Butthead were to those of us who watched them, they haven’t carried over for some reason (which I find really weird because crap like Saved by the Bell, inexplicably, _has_.) Really? I would’ve known right away. (BTW, that was an AWESOME idea – I think you guys did a great job) And I so cannot wait for this. ---

I became a Beavis and Butthead fan when they were just a short segment of MTV’s Liquid Television series. Frog Baseball! Later, when I first started teaching, if some student was being too loud I would say [Butthead voice]Uhh, settle down Beavis[/Butthead] They would always get a kick out of that. I tried it a few years ago, though, and a lot of them had no clue what I was talking about. I just checked and I still have my _Beavis and Butthead_ books: “This Book Sucks” and “Ensucklopedia”. Got 'em new back in the early 90’s when they were published. From the “Party Jokes” section of _This Book Sucks_: “This dude is talking to this other dude and he goes, ‘My wife thinks she’s a chicken.’ And the other dude goes, ‘Why don’t you take her to the psychoticist?’ And like the other dude goes, ‘Cause like I need some milk.’ Huh huh huh huh.” My favorite is the \*Ensucklopedia \*page for the letter ‘M’ titled “ **Mm** … Uh, huh huh huh huh” Followed by a list of masturbation euphemisms such as: batting practice gunning the motor launching the hand shuttle punching your way into heaven roughing up the suspect squeezing out the toothpaste whitewater wristing Love these books–I’m glad I didn’t trade them in at the used bookstore. I’m going to have to read them all the way through for the first time in ages. ---

I think it was “This Book Sucks” that had the 3 columns of words, where you pick a word from each column and that’s your band name. For years we jokingly called ourselves the Poison War Rats. ---
