# Rumsfeld v. FAIR - Federal funds cut from schools that don't let military recruit

My problem with it came in the application of the policy. My school (Vandy) thought hard about not complying, then the government stated that the law school’s actions would result in the removal of federal money from the med school (which would effectively close it). Now if the law school is willing to accept a removal of federal funding, I don’t see why other parts of the school should get theirs removed.

Also the old compromise of allowing JAG recruiters on campus, but interviewing in part of the campus that is not the law school was disallowed too. It was never just the military that interviewed out of school, but now it is just them that cannot. Personally I wish they would stop sending me crap asking me if I want to join the JAG corps, but there you go.
