We’re off to AZ this AM!

Morning news sez there are now 14,000 fires (FOURTEEN **THOUSAND!** ) in California now. Neither one of my kids is in a threatened area, but the smoke is everywhere.

Mr VOW has a POA meeting to attend, and we both need a reprieve from the madness that results from all of us living in The Daughter’s house.

Plus we get to sleep in our own bed! 😁

Never underestimate the restorative power of sleeping in your OWN bed!

We’re only here for two weeks this time. Much to do, and not much time to do it! I’ve spent the past few days coaxing my neck to “un-pretzel” itself from the drive here. Maybe today I can start to get things done. But hey, that’s what pain pills are for, right?

The wonderful, intense blue skies have been perpetually overcast, but not with clouds. This is drift from the California fires. The Daughter says at her house, the sky is a constant orange, and there is ash falling everywhere. She is currently under no threat, thank God.

With COVID and the fires, the Western United States is in the midst of Doomsday. I grieve for our people, our country, our civilization.
