Gamersgate has Just Cause 2 for $5, and you can activate the cd key on steam if you want. Great game, requires vista+/dx10. They’ve also got medal of honor airborne for $2.50. Homefront is 33% off on d2d. Rift is half off ($25) on the official [riftgame.com](http://riftgame.com) site. You still have 40 minutes to grab the tom clancy games on steam for 66% off. The rainbow 6 vegas games are better than I expected - not as good as actual rainbow 6 games but they have good coop and they’re $3. Then there are a million tom clancy games… the ghost recons, splinter cells, hawx, etc. ---

Ah! Thanks for the heads-up on _Just Cause 2_, **Senorbeef**. I think that was part of a Steam daily deal earlier, wasn’t it? Only not as cheap, I think, or I’d’ve bought it then. This week I’ve grabbed JC2 and _Far Cry 2_ – I got used to respawns in _STALKER: CoS_ so I don’t think the respawns will bother me (“she said ignorantly before having to massacre the same enemies for the 100th time”). I really need to follow this thread more assiduously, 'cause I know I missed a _Mass Effect 2_ deal fairly recently. That’s the game I’m hoping to use to dip my toes in the RPG realm. Steam. Today only: New monkey island series, all chapters, $12. Over the weekend Call of Duty: Black Ops is free to install/play for anyone until Sunday at 1pm eastern. It’s also on sale for $40. It’s also not worth it, but it might be worth trying the free weekend to get a dumb fps twitch out. Red Faction 1/2/Guerrila are 75% off. Thief: Deadly Shadows is $5. Crysis 2 is $30 on Impulse. Don’t recommend that either but I generally mention AAA titles 50% or more off. D2D has DLC for… every game they offer DLC for… 15% off, code EXTRAS, also Homefront for $25 ---

Modern Warfare games are 50% off on steam, which means $15 for COD 4 and $20 for COD 6 (and half price map packs). I don’t even think I can recommend mw2 at that price although cod4 is very good and still played by a lot of people. If you have neither I’d take cod4 for $15 over mw2 for $20 easily. The frozenbyte collection (Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: survivor) is $4.50 and I highly recommend this. Trine is one of my favorite platformers and the other two are old school top down shooters that are pretty decent. [Greenmangaming.com](http://Greenmangaming.com) has Duke Nukem Forever on preorder for $36. They send you a steam cd key so you don’t even have to use them to download the game, you can use steam. D2D has Mafia 2 for $7.50. Impulse has the 2010 Medal of Honor for $10, but no one seems to like it. GamersGate has the Europa Universalis games for cheap. ---

Civ 4 is $5 and Civ 4 Complete is $7.50 on steam but it’s the daily deal only, so act fast - good until 10am pst tomorrow. The weekend sale is Dead Rising 2, Resident Evil 5, and DC Universe 50% off ($20, 15, and $25 respectively) D2D has all rock star games 66-75% off. ---

Apparently the linked codes are referral codes of some sort that earn the person who linked them additional discounts of games (or something) if they are used, and tellapal is some sort of viral marketing thing of some sort. Steam has 2 indie packs of 5 games each for $10. First pack is Atom Zombie Smasher, Machinarium, Swords and Soldiers HD, Capsized, and ARES: Extinction Agenda. Second is AaAaA!!! A reckless disregard for gravity, metal drift, gridrunner revolution, zombie driver, starscape. I haven’t played enough of those games to recommend them but at $10 even if you like one they’re a good deal. There’s also a pack of FEAR 1 and 2 and all DLC for $10. Gamersgate has the Europe Universalis series 75% off and Killing Floor for 50% off ($10) and Sword of the stars complete $8. Defense Grid gold is $4.75 on impulse, fun tower defense game. L4D2 is the daily deal on steam for $6.80. Incidentally I wouldn’t recommend buying any games that aren’t on sale for the next 10 days or so - if steam has a summer sale like last year there will be massive discounts on everything. ---

[Monday Night Combat](http://store.steampowered.com/app/63200/) is on daily sale on steam for 75% off ($3.75). I think it’d make a good game for private sdmb games. It’s sort of like a combination of TF2 and DOTA. Worth taking a shot on for $4. I’ll run some games later in the week to teach people how to play. You only have about 21 hours left to grab it so act quickly if you want it. ---

TF2 is free to play on steam this week for anyone who for some reason doesn’t have it by now. Also a big content update tomorrow. The steam summer sale - assuming they run it again this year - is very likely to start in the next two days. I’ll start a new thread about it because it should generate enough traffic to be worth it. Otherwise quite a slow day on steam - the two most recent James Bond games are 66% off. The calm before the storm. GamersGate has the Hitman series 75% off. D2D has Mass Effect 1 and 2 for $8 each. Impulse has Magicka for $5 and Sins of a solar empire with 2 expansions for $10. Good game if you like 4X type games. Also Gal Civ 2 Ultimate and Dragon Age: Origins for $15, but I’d wait for the steam sale of DAO: Ultimate Edition for not much more on steam. ---

Hmm, it’s the 24th and no steam summer sale. Rumors point to June 30 as the start. So… TF2 is free to play now. Homefront is $25 on steam for the weekend, and Divinity II is $20. Some 4x looking game called Star Ruler is the daily sale at $5. Europa Universalis complete is $3.75 D2D has the 2K series of sports games 75% off. NBA 2K11 is $7.50, MLB 2K11 is $5. Bad company 2 is $8. Also BF:BC2 Vietnam for $6. They give you a cd key to enter into the game itself, so where you got bc2 doesn’t matter. Bioshock 1 and 2 for $8 each. Borderlands complete for $12. Stronghold collection $8. GamersGate has Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for $3.75, fun coop game. ---
