Yes, it’s true. A man with the unbelieveable name of “Mike Hunt” is running for the elected position of sheriff in Aiken County, SC.
I just about spilled my sprite the first time I drove past one of his campaign signs, which are now plastered all over the area. Won’t someone please think of the children?
If anyone doesn’t understand why this is so outrageous, try saying his name out loud a few times in a row. (works better if you’re female)

I went to school with a Mike Hunt. That’s what he wanted to be called too Mike, either he thought it was funny or just not to smart. I’m going with the latter.

Hmm… just to get some of the jokes outta the way…
I love Mike Hunt. Mike Hunt’s the best, I would vote for Mike Hunt anytime. Senior Citizens always seem to go for Mike Hunt. Mike Hunt really seems to appeal to the younger generation. Without Mike Hunt in this town, we’d all be lost. With Mike Hunt as Sheriff, we can all can live knowing that Aiken is safe. A vote for Mike Hunt is a vote for a clean, safe city.

One of my best friends in school was named Matt Cox. Every time someone mentioned his mom’s name, my Dad would burst out laughing. I never got it until I was about 13-14, and then one day it hit me.
Her first name was Drema. No bullshit.

Oh man. My dignity is so down the tubes right now. You’d think I’d have outgrown this kind of humor by now. I actually experienced a hapless waitress paging a “Mike Hunt” in a restaurant some years ago. Apparently someone had called in “needing to speak to him.”
In a wild coincidence, the waitress was someone that had attended the same high school as I, although I didn’t know her personally.
One of the other wait staffers hustled over to her after she called it out a few times and started whispering in her ear. Poor gal.
