Running: should I just give it up?

I found books on tape to be my salvation from the boredom. I go to the library and check out all the books I’ve been meaning to read but never got around to. Then I listen to the books. It’s win - win all around.

I get to “read” the books and I don’t get bored.

You can also go to the Archive.org and download tons for public domain material from OTR (old time radio) shows. When you’re running (working out) to Jack Benny or “Burns & Allen” the time flies by fast.

I’m similar. I’m reluctant to start running and I don’t particularly enjoy it while doing it. But, afterwards, once it’s behind me, I’m always glad I did it.

And then there’s the afterburn where for the next couple of hours you’re still burning calories for free just sitting around.
