You nailed it. Reagan was a personable, charismatic man who was very good at selling his polices… problem is, those policies turned out to be an unholy nightmare in practice. I mean, my god – consider trickle down economics. The idea that the rich will just decide to share all their wealth out of the goodness of their heart, so the more ultra wealthy people you make, the better off we will all be? This is insanity! Generally speaking we need a response mechanism to the whole “flags at half staff” thing for folks we despise. Maybe putting two flags on the same pole at full staff, I don’t know. ---
