A NATO conquest of Kaliningrad, with “You give Ukraine back, we give Kaliningrad back” might do wonders.
And if Russia threatens nukes, then wag the finger “Nuh-uh, you don’t get to do that…”

This would be valid if Putin was reliable and trustworthy, but he clearly isn’t, as has been demonstrated. The only thing wrong with Magiver’s question about a “list of countries” is that it’s an incomplete question, as it should also include a “list of Russian actions” before we say nyet.
Right now, for fear of Putin’s threats, which may or may not be empty, and could potentially be triggered by anything (eg what if he threatens to goes nuclear if we don’t lift sanctions?), the west is doing the equivalent to “thoughts and prayers”. (and yes I get that the west is providing lots of resources, but that’s not stopping Putin from slaughtering and destroying an entire country).
Right now we are IMHO only marginally better than “peace in our time”.

I wish there was a way to throw Russia out of the United Nations full stop. They should not be recognized as a country.

None of those countries were part of NATO when Hitler started his conquest of Europe. Same for the war before that.

NATO exists specifically BECAUSE we don’t trust Russia.
What is the point of NATO? To defend NATO. Not countries that aren’t in NATO. Attacking Russia would be very likely to start a nuclear war. It’s an unacceptable risk.
