Ukraine are a step closer to reaching the 2022 soccer football World Cup after beating Scotland 3-1 in a play-off match. They will now need to defeat Wales in a play-off final on Sunday to progress to the main tournament, which is due to be held in Qatar at the end of the year. I hope they make it. Russia were kicked out of the competition qualifiers in February for their evil deeds in Ukraine. As in most countries, soccer football is the most popular sport in Russia. I’ve been interested to know how the suspension of the Russian national team and Russian club teams from international and club soccer football respectively has been reported in the country, such as whether they are claiming that governing body FIFA are a NATO tool, but haven’t found anything. ---

I hope its true that the equipment is pre-positioned for delivery. It’s a bit disappointing that only 4 Himars are initially being sent. The training time is always going to be a factor. There’s no way around it. I wonder if this newer equipment has a kill switch built in? Similiar to the John Deere tractors that were bricked after being stolen? Zelenskyy adviser Arestovych says that Ukrainian forces set a trap for the enemy in Severodonetsk by placing washing machines in the town square pretending to withdraw from the city, thus luring the fascist invaders into an ambush which inflicted many casualties. ---

I’d normally dismiss such claims out of hand, however, based on the volume of looting being documented in this conflict, the charge seems to have at least a kernel of truth to it.
