I object. Heard Island is an area critical to breeding seabirds of a variety of species including different species of albatross and burrowing petrels. These birds are of much greater value to us than Putin. Perhaps drop him off at North Sentinel Island? ---

Realistically, if there is a change of government, Putin will be dispatched without any help from non-Russians. There’s a lot of high windows in Moscow. ---

Russia preparing to down-size its diplomatic presence in the West. _Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday that there is “no point” in maintaining the country’s current level of diplomatic presence in the West, according to the country’s state media RIA Novosti._ Sounds like somebody is going to take their ball and go home. Good riddance! ---

It seems Long Range Acoustic Devices LRADs are being included in the next U.S. aid package to Ukraine. I wonder what the intended use is. “Surrender and Live” announcements or something more offensive in nature? " These devices vary in appearance and size, but every model has the same two capabilities. In one mode, the LRAD acts as an amplifier, projecting a human voice or recording across thousands of meters; in the other, it emits a “deterrent tone” so loud it can cause permanent hearing loss." If you weren’t expecting it, I imagine one of these things could disorient infantry. ---

No, I mean they’re not going to take aircraft away from the strategic mission to bomb stuff, if they don’t have enough planes to fulfill the former mission. They may use the Tu-22 bombers to bomb stuff, but not at the expense of their strategic nuclear mission. A US analogy might be that when we’ve used B-1 or B-52 bombers in the past to drop conventional bombs on places, we didn’t take them away from the squadrons/groups that were assigned to the strategic nuclear role. ---
