You guys aren’t thinking like a proper Russian Air Force General. Training is very expensive, which is why you have requested a large sum of money to keep your pilots at peak readiness. Also, you have filed a lovely report on your latest training exercises with your superiors, which indicates everything with your air wing is excellent. Pilots very skilled. Planes in tip top condition. Lovely pictures of the airmen lined up in front of a nicely posed Sukhoi. No one needs to know that you diverted most of the funds for training to an offshore account, your pilots have almost no flight hours, and half your planes aren’t airworthy. ---

Poland delivered first four of 14 Leopard 2 tanks today. An additional 60 PT-91Twardy tanks to be delivered in coming weeks (highly upgraded T-72, better than equivalent Russian). Sweden, Germany, and Spain also increased qty. of Leopards. First four from Canada arrived UK for training and on to Ukr. ---

The comment was “one letter”. The sound of «и» is like “eeee” (in Russian – in Ukrainian it has a somewhat different sound), so that seemed like the one letter that would fit. ---

Sweden has just announced the donation of 10 Leopard 2 A5 main battle tanks and 50 CV90 fighting vehicles. They have also said they are donating several hundred million euros worth of HAWK anti-aircraft systems with ammunition which can take out aircraft, helicopters and missiles. Meanwhile Zelensky says he wants to meet President Xi in person to discuss China’s peace proposals (but I’ve no doubt he has a long list of other things to discuss). Clever boy. ---
