Yeah, since they’re claiming it happened in the Bosporus, I’m leaning toward thinking it didn’t really happen. If it did, I doubt the drones were launched from Ukraine. That seems like a long distance for them to make such an attack. ---

I don’t think that follows at all. From the Black sea Mouth of the Bosporus to the closes point on the Ukrainian coast is ~240nm. The cite says the ship was 40nm north of the Bosporus when it was struck. So a shore-based launch would be ~200nm from the ship. A ship-based launch could have been as close as a mile away. The target had no anti-ship defenses. I’m not saying this attack really happened. I am saying that range to target is not a reason to dismiss the possible reality of this claim. ---

Well, and I’m not saying they couldn’t have done it, either. It just seems like an unlikely target to try to hit at that range when I’m sure there are targets they’d like to destroy that are both more near and less mobile. ---

Would a Intelligence gathering ship be more vulnerable? You don’t need to sink it. Bomb the antennas and satellite dishes. That might explain why only three drones were sent. Or, maybe the report is false. ---
