I have been looking online for a deal on glasses but I am finding a pile info on the big chains making crappy lenses. how the hell do you know if you get a bad pair of glasses? its not like a pair of pants that the seams fall out of.
anyone have any luck or thoughts on where to get a good pair of glasses?
er, ditch the online stuff and go to a legitimate optomatrist? Or better yet, an opthamologist?
As far as what makes a good set of glasses… they don’t fall apart within a few months, they don’t scratch up right away, and you can see out of them without getting a headache.
The store you buy your glasses from doesn’t grind your prescription, they just buy the blanks that an optical supplier has that match your prescription and cut the edges to match the frames. I don’t have a terribly difficult prescription but I have never gotten glasses that caused a vision problem from any optical shop.
