7 hr rain delay has ‘forced’ a format change.
The will finish the current matches first thing tomorrow morning (hopefully)
Then all players will be playing in six foursome matches. Those matches should be concluded mid-late afternoon.
and Session 3 starts, again with all 12 players in 6 matches (4 fourball and 2 foursomes)
Session three will be completed Sunday morning (hopefully). hopefully by 11 am local time.
And Session four of 12 singles matches starting late Sunday morning.
The change in schedule means that NBC will be airing live coverage instead of the planned taped. For those staying up late, ESPN will again cover the live action starting at 2:30AM Eastern tomorrow morning. They were not scheduled to air any more of the Cup, but now will.

Nah, the US has a good bunch of players here. There was a bit when the team captain was reading out the players names and he missed one out. He made a joke of it, but the team looked like an actual team, having a laugh together. Even Tiger had a genuine grin.

I’m not a big fan of the Ryder Cup, but I’ve got it on while I’m doing some other stuff. Who is responsible for those lavender vests the US guys are wearing!?? They look totally… unmasculine.

Not very big. It’s nothing like a major. But then golf is a pretty minor sport here in the first place compared to Football/Basketball/Baseball.
I understand that golf is nowhere near as big as your big 3 sports (same here in Britain sort of). But I’m quite surprised to find out it’s nothing like a major. Really? So the Open (the British Open) gets more press than the Ryder Cup? What about when the RC is held in the US?
Amongst the hard core golf fans, the Ryder Cup is big. But it always goes against college football and NFL Football. Which are huge. and it absolutely cannot compete. 3 am start times on the east coast doesn’t help much (happens every 4 years).
I think the Ryder Cup would be bigger if it was held the weekend before football starts. And less change for the brutal weather that happened on Friday in Wales.
Earlier I went past the place that the Ryder Cup is going to be in 2014. Fucking hell I hope it isn’t going to be in October. I mean Gleneagles is nice and all, but October!?
