We had gotten information that he’d taken to wearing one of the suicide bomber TNT vests, and had no intention of being taken alive. Can you imagine the incredible bravery it took for those troops to go into that basement with that information? I am extremely relieved that he didn’t do his last act of evil and take out any of our guys. ---

Man, I needed a pick-me-up tonight. Had a screaming I-hate-you-I’m-leaving fight with my (now-ex, I guess) girlfriend tonight. Now she’s sleeping it off (funny how she broke up with me and I’m the one on the couch) and I’m watching for news about Saddam’s no-good-very-bad-day. Good on ya, 4th Infantry. I think he’ll see sunrise at Gitmo. ---

I don’t understand what CNN means by he was wearing a fake beard. Those pictures look real… and he would have had time to grow a real one. Can someone please explain this to me. ---

This is great news. I am curious to see how far this goes toward stabilizing the situation on the ground in Iraq. I mean, how many of his supporters are fanatical enough to keep fighting once he’s been captured? ---
