aahhh!!! i just had to get this out! my friend has this neighbor that LOVES to torture animals. this friend of mine told me this story about this sadistic fuck putting a firecracker in a cat’s ass and then lighting it. he chases stray dogs with rocks and tries to break their legs. he also likes to catch cats and bury them up to their heads and run them over with a lawnmower. anyway, the other day, my friend told me that he was trying to catch a cat, and my friend went out back took a baseball bat and whacked the psycho in the leg 🙂 and damn near broke it. i thought it was the funniest thing and thought that all the animal activists would appreciated that story. ---

I also don’t want to go King Nifty on y’all, but the ‘running cats over with lawnmowers’ shit has been going around since God was a boy. I heard of ‘sadistic fucks’ doing that when I was about five. And by the way, I’m with jackbatty. People who are against animal cruelty are very often against human cruelty as well. oh, and: 🙂 ---

Yeah - as told by the OP, his “friend” watches all this behavior without (apparently) calling the police/Animal Cruelty/etc., then flips out and attacks the neighbor with a bat. How neat we are here at the SDMB. First we scream and beg and plead for His4ever to just post like a normal person and not a rabid fundie… And then when she does just react like a normal person and not a rabid fundie, we get angry with her for not being Christian enough. Good show. ---

I don’t remember ever asking His4ever to ever post any which way. I just calls em like I sees em. I don’t think praising someone being beaten as a very Christian sentiment. She’s the one who has taken on that mantle. I didn’t give it to her. ---

I used to hear stories about a guy in my hometown doing the lawnmower-kitten thing back in the 1940s, for God’s sake. He would have had to use a pushmower since powermowers were barely on the horizon. I worked with the guy in later years and found that he was as decent a person as I ever knew. I don’t believe the OP in the least and I’ll tell you something else—if the guy who supposedly got whacked with the bat is whacked out enough to do the things reported, the guy who wielded the bat will be well advised to move and leave no forwarding address. This presupposes it to be a true story, which I don’t believe for a minute. ---

i dont know how credible my friend is about the bat thing, but i assure you that his neighbor is a sick fellow. i also dont know how often the guy tortures animals, but i know that he does do it on occasion. perhaps i should have mentioned this before everyone accused my story of being untrue, but i’m just repeating what i heard from what i think is a credible source.
