Hopefully, now that she is no longer #1, Safina can get out of her head and play some decent tennis again. I really like her and her style of play, but that girl has to be one of the biggest headcases ever to grace the WTA ---

Isn’t it somewhat odd that the suggestion in the link in the OP that Safina is the worst no. 1 ever and that the WTA-system is flawed is supported by evidence from that very ranking? ---

Great! I’d rather not have either of them as #1. Hopefully those Official People hand down their verdict if they’re going to suspend Serena or not soon. ---

The women’s game is a bloody mess recently. I would not have believed that such psychological instability can be so prevalent at the top of a major international professional sport. I miss the days of Graf and Seles… (at least back then, the psychological instability was mostly limited to the fans…) ---

I’m guessing that a Belgian will be number one in a matter of 6 months (Henin is back in January, no?). I don’t think people realized just how much the sport would miss those two.
