# Sailing Distances

Does anyone know anywhere on the web where you can find sailing distances…like you would get from Admiralty Distance Tables (but, of course, in a digital format)?

The calculator works pretty well for distances. When I messed with their speed (which defaults to 12 kts) I got some really strange results. (Duluth to Detroit in 26 hours at 15 kts.? Not with the (apparently accurate) 630 nautical mile distance.)

It also appears to be a “straight line” calculator: there does not seem to be any intelligence to handle special channels, locks, or other obstructions. However, the distances appear to be accurate.
