I agree with the OP, it read to me like **sailor** was continuing the analogy. Also, **sailor** states in that thread that he was going to take a break, so that may be why he did not clarify his intent to the mods. I think **sailor** could have been a bit more clear/careful with his phrasing to ensure the intent was clear, but unless I’m missing something where **sailor** has been stalking **BrainGlutton** or something, the warning reads like an overreaction to that post. But there may be other posting history not mentioned in the suspension announcement thread. ---

I agree that he was probably continuing the analogy, but he did so in a gratuitously crude way, that did deserve moderation. ---

I have absolutely no dog in this but wondering… Has lieu confirmed that info was in his profile? I ask, because after I read the post I checked and it wasn’t there. Of course I’m sure he would have deleted it if it was and I just missed it. ---

I took it the way Chronos mentioned it. Sailor is a pretty smart guy. He’s just grumpy, and doesn’t have much of a sense of humor. I posed a question [a very long time ago](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=230223), referring to Baghdad highways as “interstates.” He didn’t seem to like it too much. 😛 ---
