Where has the saline solution gone? The bottled stuff for rinsing contact lenses — the solution that doesn’t cost per ounce the equivalent of fine wine. All I find in the store these days is the “multi-purpose” contact lens solution. Fine stuff, but wasteful to pour down the drain if I just want to rinse my contact lenses.

Have bottles of saline solution disappeared from your area?

Yep. The pharmacist told me they were just out of stock at Target, but they’ve been out of stock for six weeks now. You can still get “Sensitive Eyes” saline-ish stuff, but it costs four times as much.

My local Target has been out of B&L Sensitive Eyes Plus for 2 weeks now, but I was still able to get it at CVS (at 1.5x the price).
