Anyone who follows my posts around here knows that I bitch about my job. A lot. Well, that’s about to change. This morning I accepted an editorial position with another department in my company. This new job involves the same amount of work I did in my previous position (or it will, once I get the hang of it), but with a few important advantages: [ul] [li]I’ll be completely free of Evil Boss-- Good Boss will be my only direct supervisor.[/li][li]I won’t have to cold call subscribers for feedback.[/li][li]I’ll have a byline on some of my work.[/li][li]I’m getting a pretty nice raise. 😃 [/li][/ul] I’ve already done the job on a trial basis for the last couple of weeks, and I’m looking forward to doing it full time. Just one week to go! ---

I’m hoping for “in the corner office,” but I think that’s a few years down the road yet. 😃 No word on when (or even if) I’ll be moving, but Good Boss is preparing to relocate to a new office downstairs.
