Same song different artists

Another cover on my iPod:

“Video Killed the Radio Star”-Presidents of the United States (Buggles)

I have nine different versions of “Who Do You Love” (all good) by Bo Diddley, George Thorogood (two separate recordings), the Preachers, the Morlocks and other luminaries.

I put together my own album of 15 recordings of “St. James Infirmary Blues”, which includes renditions by Cab Calloway, Rube Bloom and his Bayou Boys, Dave Van Ronk, King Oliver, Roger McGuinn, Artie Shaw and the White Stripes. Sometimes when I’m in a low down-enough mood I’ll play the album all the way through.

I have two versions of “Cleveland Rocks,” the original by Ian Hunter and the cover by the PUSA which was used as one of the themes to “The Drew Carey Show.” I also have the alternate version by Hunter known as “England Rocks.”

San Antonio Rose
On my ipod I have it by Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel and Leo Koetke.

I just remembered a song that I have four recordings of, although three of the groups have members in common.

Shakin’ All Over by the Guess Who.

Shakin’ All Over by Brave Belt, which was formed by Chad Allen and Randy Bachman of the Guess Who. With the later addition of Fred Turner, this group morphed into Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

A live version of Shakin’ All Over by B.T.O.

And Shakin’ All Over by the Who.
