Sammy Sosa: Why Didn't They Suspect Sooner?

So we both agree that it is possible Sosa hid other corked bats, right?

I can live with that.

I can’t believe you got me quoting Dumb and Dumber. I hated that movie. Anyway, yeah, it’s not impossible, I just can’t presume he’s guilty.

If you want to be suspicious of Sosa, how about the way he’s bulked up? He wasn’t always built like a bull. He says it’s not steroids, though. He had a bad tooth removed a couple of years ago, and that allowed him to start eating more. Hence the muscles and the 60 homers.

Lloyd Christmas: So you’re telling me there’s a chance?

I’ll take it. That is all I was looking for.

Are you serious about the “tooth” excuse? He must have the same dietician as McGwire.

BTW, Dumb and Dumber is a great movie. But that is for another thread in another forum.

I was at Wrigley on Memorial Day-the apartment roof seats are NOT (yet) blocked off. & it is true fans can see visiting BP. Bats break all the time-BP & games esp. w/ the thin barrels. Hence metal bats to save $$ in all but the bigs, & I think one league in Maine. I’ve said this on other threads I think- Sammy was hurt, came back & k’ d six times just before the cork-the cork if he knew was more a psych boost than anything else.
