Just to be totally depressing, Mr Roadshow (in the SJ Mercury News) said recently that sometime soon they’re going to be rebuilding the 92/880 interchange - for something like 3 years. If I want to go from SFO to southern East Bay, I think I’ll take 237.
Bay Area freeways are in a constant state of construction somewhere or other. And of course CalTrans takes 5 times as long and spends 10 times as much as they really need to.
