Worked, stopped at the Bistro for lunch and a pint. Napped. Trying to find a stream for the hockey games. And Iā€™m up for reals now, in work, theoretically ready to be productive. Never did get back to sleep. Today is a short day - Daughter and I are meeting my mom and assorted others for lunch in a fancy-pants restaurant that my mom loves. So I get to drive to Baltimore again. rah. \*\*FCD \*\*was invited, too, but he doesnā€™t want to go - heā€™s having a major grump. SIL has to work. So itā€™s mother-daughter quality time. Between the holiday period and the gummint shutdown, thereā€™s virtually no traffic on my ride in. Other than that, just another day in paradise. Happy Last Thursday of 2018! šŸ˜ƒ ---

Good Morninā€™ Yā€™all! Up and caffeinatinā€™. _YAWN_ ā€˜Tis 53 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy (dark) with a predicted high of 70 and rain startinā€™ at some point this afternoon, continuinā€™ through Sattidy. Rah. No huge plans for the day although laundry needs to get done as there is a reasonably sized pile of dirties in the laundry room. I think I shall go over to the church house and take care of candle duty today instead of tomorrow due to the expected rain/tstorms/apocalypse TWPTB are predictinā€™. We may or may not go out for N.O.L. OYKW is still abed and may sleep a while yet. He was tahrd from the drive he made yestiddy poor thing. Shrimpies 'n steak, bacon wrapped spareguts, and sallit shall compose sup. **{{{Butters}}}** so sorry about the loss of your friend. **{{{Shady}}}** days like this one is for you are tough. Prayers and good thoughts for you. I know of Coldstone but ainā€™t drivinā€™ to Warner Robins, Dothan, or Tallahassee for a cake. I lurve OYKW but probably not that much. šŸ˜ƒ Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate beinā€™ seen in public attire. Life can be so hard! I have my annual review todayā€¦ I have a feeling it will be pretty good. Iā€™ve made a few mistakes this year, but most of that has been to me being new and still learning about things. Hopefully my boss sees it the same way. Wish me luck yā€™all! ---

Reshaping my face. Got everything off the lip and now going to head to Mr Humble and see what we decide to do with the beard. Something academic or the usual Yoeder? the next few hours will tell. And then its off to some place like McDonaldā€™s that Iā€™ve had to avoid the last month in case some kid spots the Santa clone and starts to fuss. ---

Yeah, when my house was being remodeled it could get pretty noisy. **ruble** , Iā€™m growing my beard back (it was shaved by my girlā€™s soccer team on a bet), I had the basic mustache/beard, but this time I think Iā€™ll go (at least at the start) with the old Civil War look, full sideburns and beard. We shall see. **Juliet** , good luck with the review; Iā€™m sure youā€™ll do well. **{{Sari}}**. Me too, my dear; me too. **FCM** , have to say I agree with FCD/Olā€™ Grumpyā€“driving to Baltimore for lunch is a pretty good haul on what should be a half-day holiday. But it is family. Actually got outside early because we have rain predicted for the day, so banking is done, billing is paid, and car is gassed up. Raindrops just began falling as I made it to the garage, so looks like my timing was good. Have consumed BLTā€™s without the LT and am still drinking fluids, so hopefully that will alleviate my symptoms (still visiting the throne 2-3 times a night). ---

Actually most of the time I should really shave but Iā€™ve been bearded so long ------- and without it I look like some odd cross between Uncle Fester and Charlie Brown. My head suddenly becomes a perfect circle. My usual form is slightly Amish-ish since the order I portray (Recollet) were known as ā€œthe dirty beardsā€ by their Jesuit neighbors and they were known to drop the mustache for much the same reason as OODs ā€” to separate themselves from the military units they worked with. I have never found firm documentation on what Pere Baron chose so I am let partly to my own devices. ---

My review went well; Iā€™m fully satisfactory, with some slight nudges towards the next step up. Iā€™m getting a 2% raise. Itā€™s not a ton, but every bit helps. **Midget** , I hope you can find somewhere quiet to go for a while. Itā€™s winter break, so if youā€™re still near school, I bet thatā€™s pretty quiet right now. Since itā€™s not super busy, you could probably find an unused couch somewhere for a nap, since youā€™re not feeling well. ---
