I think that not only should the restaurateur not have asked Sanders to leave, she should have served her a piece of pie on the house – the same renowned chocolate pie that Minny Jackson made for Hilly Holbrook. ---

And in a move just as unsurprising as it is unfortunate, other eateries named “Red Hen” are catching flack for this. This is not a chain, this is just a case of two (possibly more) chicken joints having the same name. Reminds me of the Muslim-haters going after Sikhs in the wake of 9/11. I get the anger, but misdirected anger just makes you look really, really stupid. ---

I’m entirely in favor of this move. Business owners (should) have every right in the world to refuse service to those they don’t like, saving only issues of a protected class, which “White House Press Secretary,” is not. The owner had a strong opinion and exercised it. That’s a privilege of owning a restaurant. ---
