Sarah Palin proven right! Government tricks beautiful young mom; imposes 1st Death Panel Verdict

This is hilarious!!

Yes, you keep telling yourself that.

Keep on raging about icky clothes and people “fucking in the mud,” you old wacko.

Like fucking on the beach, much better in theory than in practice.

For the record:

I truly believe this to be nonsense.

I truly believe this to be nonsense.

I truly believe this to be nonsense.

I truly believe this to be nonsense.

I’m sorry that I didn’t say this sooner.

If ever there was a more clear example of why you DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS I would be truly amazed.

I fear we are drawing close to the Poe’s Law limit.

Any chance that Starving Artist is actually a liberal trying to make conservatives read this article and see how stupid their ideas really are?

Maybe he’s a liberal that went too deep and turned. This post is his cry for help. A message to his handler to bring him in.

It’s okay Starving Artist you don’t have to pretend any more.

I’ve passed any number of his posts through my Radio Shack Ironometer, and he never registers above 17 millihicks.

I’m not so convinced, I bought my Ironometer at Radio Shack and the damn thing just swings back and forth.

Look at the original article he linked to. The damn this was so clearly anti-private health care. I really think this whole thing was a show to make fun of the websites I linked to that actually believe this shit.

Then he posted that “study” from the Heritage Foundation. Seriously, no conservative in their right mind would show that to a group of liberals. If he was a conservative he’d know that article, know that source, and know not to post it.

I was reading through the bio of the author, Robert Moffit. The man his clearly very good at what he does. And what does he do?

“Moffit’s first task at Heritage was to frame the think tank’s response to President Clinton’s plan to nationalize the health care system.”

I have no doubt that man is brilliant, and knows this argument inside and out. But he is anything but unbiased.

It seems pretty clear that he’s parrotting talking points from some blog/bbs/mailing list/whatever. Maybe he finally rubbed them the wrong way too, and they’ve started feeding him intentionally bad arguments as a joke.

True, one can’t.

I’m worried that SA’s “Mission Accomplished” banner is going to get threadbare, given how many times he’s hauled it out.

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled by elucidator’s dishonest verbal sleight-of-hand. If you will check my posting history you will see that I haven’t declared victory nearly as often as he would like you to believe. Just like I haven’t claimed or believed many of the things that he’s tried to attribute to me with regard to the Heritage Foundation cite (and which, unfortunately, I haven’t yet had time to refute).

luci is a most dishonest and underhanded poster, frequently relying upon verbal trickery and what he perceives as his superior intellect in order to try to sway the opinions of the masses (or at least that small percentage of them unfortunate enough to read his posts :)), whom he views as sufficiently stupid and gullible as to be swayed by the manipulative machinations of his prose. His posts are little more than a shell game, one in which the truth is constantly being shifted around and hidden under shells of verbal misdirection and bullshit so that one can hardly keep up with it no matter how hard he tries.

And of course the fact that he’s largely preaching to the choir to begin with gives him the impression that he’s succeeding. But the discerning and unbiased reader can easily see through his bullshit, and what luci doesn’t realize is that he harms his own credibility among the thinking set because his dishonesty is both transparent and nowhere near as clever as he thinks it is.

You let us know if you meet one, m’kay?

The Heritage Foundation is a right wing stink tank. They were fonded to push conservative right wing ideas. They are not a neutral source of anything.
Why should the decision on whether you get health care when you are sick be left in the hands of those who profit off denying coverage? Do you suspect they may decide in a way that increases profits? It is as logical as citing the Heritage Foundation. They have a huge bias.

And that’s different from your posts in what way?

Anyway, one can’t help but feel, in the face of such sputtering condemnation, that Elucidator must be scoring points…

Hah!

I feel like I should put my two cents in here just for posterity. 16 pages for a story that didn’t happen anyway. Sweet.

Well, if we’re limitting it to explicit use of the word victory, then we’ve only got post #538:

On the other hand, if we’re including your many variants on “you liberals got nothing but name calling” (and with the victory declaration merely implicit), you can add post #573

… and #580

and on and on and on…
[Note to other thread participants: I earlier pointed out that SA was lying about being the first person to point out that the “Tricks” part of his OP was wrong. Now this. If he starts claiming that he never told people that he was too busy to address their questions, someone else has to re-read this mashuggenah thread and take the damn hit for the team.]

And that’s without any input from curlcoat!

Well, since the quote in question was elucidator’s, and given that he claimed I’d “declared victory several times already”, I think that the word “victory” would be a good criterion to use, don’t you?

I suppose that if you want to consider my pointing out errors on the part of some of my opponents around here as a declaration of victory on my part, there isn’t much I can do about it. Still, if you want to regard pointing out the stupidity of a poster who wants to engorge on food so as to vomit on an opponent as a declaration of victory, I’ll happily take it.

Big whoop. I noticed it before whatever it was you posted and owned up to it accordingly. I don’t recall making much of an issue over who owns having seen it first.

When have I ever claimed I never told anyone I was too busy to address their questions?

Oh, wait…I know. It must have been at the same time I made all those declarations of victory that I never made.

What was that I called them in another thread recently? Oh yeah, post-parsing pedants. Go back to GD, you post-parsing pedants!

I beleive he was predicting what you might do at some undetermined point in the future. You know, like the many predictions about the direction of health care in the US that you have been making in this thread.
