People who discount her or call her stupid are making a serious mistake. She was not fully prepared for the last campaign (although in some important ways better prepared than some). However, she’s very sharp. If she wants to run for president in 2012 or 2016, she will do so fully prepared and she will be a formidable opponent.

Fifty bucks says she’s a distant memory in 2012.

I’m sure she was banking on having the gas pipeline bill approved so she could wave that flag in the next election. But alas, in another example of her brilliant political savvy, she submitted it too late for the legislature to act on it this year. This pipeline is critical to the state both in terms of jobs and the fact that gas prices are out of control because we are running out of it. But Sarah is so busy doing photo-ops that she apparently forgot to look at the calendar. Nice job.

As clearly demonstrated in her word salad answers during the VP debate and interviews with Grodin and Couric. Much better extemporaneous speaker, indeedy.

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, the teenage daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, have broken off their engagement, he said Wednesday, about 2 1/2 months after the couple had a baby.

Johnston, 19, told The Associated Press that he and 18-year-old Bristol Palin mutually decided “a while ago” to end their relationship. He declined to elaborate as he stood outside his family’s home in Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage.
