From [the Slate article](https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/06/sarah-huckabee-sanders-genius-press-secretary.html):

_As a public servant, Sanders was abysmal. As a public speaker, she was subpar. But as the first line of Trump’s defense, she was absolutely indispensable._

We’ll see about that last part if his image and ratings start to spiral lower without SHS spinning for him.

> This may be a strange thing to say, but…Sarah Sanders finally convinced me that women often can be as good or even better in their jobs then men. How often do we get the chance to see a man and a woman perform the same, highly visible, highly scrutinized job? Where we can actually judge their performance, and know that they work under the same difficult circumstances? hardly ever, right?
>
> Usually, when we assess any jb performance, we don’t know how well the actual results were, and the guy will appear (overly) assured of how well he did, and the woman will be either (overly) modest, or won’t be and then we’ll find her… unpleasant. We unconscioulsy will conclude that the more assured person, the guy, did better.
>
> This was the first time we could all let both performances speak for themselves. And Sanders was just clearly better then her predecessor in every, evil, way.
>
> Being a woman even came in handy - it fitted with how she fulfilled the role.

Yeah, **Maastricht** ’s comment left me a-head-scratchin’. As I read it literally, it’s … sorry, kinda gross.

> I will never again think that a hiring a woman is the sympathetic, but less ambitious choice. In the Trump cabinet, the women pretty much all are more competent then their male peers.

Again, I’m confused about whether you mean this seriously. Kirstjjjejn Njielsen managed to neither keep her job nor do the right thing, which strikes me as, well, not competent; Betsy DeVos has been a laughing-stock since before her confirmation; Elaine Chao has people sniffing around for evidence of corruption, which means she’s not good at hiding that shit or not good at avoiding making enemies, idk.

Small sample size, of course, and all that.

No irony. I can’t judge if DeVos or Njielsen are worse then their male counterparts.
But I can judge, like everyone else could, that Sanders was better at her evil job then Spicer was.

Hicks and Conway are also better at their evil jobs then their male counterparts. Ivanka is better then Eric.

My argument ends there…

There really are not “millions” of comedians and their writers–the only people I could imagine “fighting back tears and struggling to find something, _anything_ to fill the Sarah-Sanders-shaped void in their lives.”

Sarah who? Not missed and already forgotten. Not even worth making jokes about.
