**Satan Went Down to Straight Dope**
Sung to the tune of: \* The Devil Went Down to Georgia.\*
(With apologies to the **Charlie Daniels Band, Brian and Libby**.)

_(Intro)_
Satan went down to Straight Dope
He was looking for his soul to heal.
He was in a bind with his frame of mind
And needed a place to post his schpeel.
When he came across this young lass
Typing on a keyboard and makin’ him hot
And then Satan hooked up on his Pentium II
And said, "Miss let me tell you what.”
“I guess you didn’t know it, but I’m a clever user here.
And if I care to take a dare, I’ll compliment your rear.
Now you post pretty good argument, but give the devil his due.
I’ll bet a ring of gold against your soul,
I think I flame better than you."
The Girl said, “My name’s Drain Bead, and it might be a sin,
but I’ll take your bet and you’re gonna regret,
cause I’m the best there’s ever been.”
Drain Bead loosen up your hands and hit your keyboard hard
Hell’s broke loose at Straight Dope and Cecil stacks the cards
And if you win, you’ll get this wedding ring made of gold
But if you lose, the devil gets your soooooooooooooooooul.
The devil opened up his thread and he said, "I’ll start this rage!”
And fire flew from his monitor as he loaded up his page.
He flowed the words across the screen and they made an evil hiss
Then a band of dopers joined in and it was a thread you couldn’t miss.
_(fiddle solo)_
When Satan finished Drain Bead said,
“Well you’re pretty good demon
But sit down in this thread right here,
Let me show you how it’s done.”
Drain’s on the warpath, run board, run
Satan’s at her house and he’s havin’ fun.
Drain thinks that Satan is quite the catch,
The board thinks that Satan has met his match.

Ol’ Satan bowed his head because he knew that he’d been beat,
And he slipped that wedding ring on her finger in defeat.
Drain Bead said," Satan now I’m not quite sure, if I lost or if I won…
Get your ass home, you son of a bitch, I’ve bought a new strap-on."
Drain’s on the warpath, run board, run
