Good. Basically, several groups are protesting the nativity scene, so have applied for the right to display. Lucian Greaves’ Satanic Temple, from what I’ve read, is essentially an activist group focused on church-state separation. Trying to get Satanic monuments in public buildings is how they draw attention to the difficulties of recognizing all religions, rather than none, by governments. I’ve read an interview with Lucien Greaves - he seems a pretty smart and articulate guy. ---

I think it awful. It’s just pissing on someone parade to be a duchbag. People should have respect for each other. Festivus and Life Day are all good fun. At least for most people. Those taking it as an FU to other religions are the white guy that Dave Chappelle didn’t want laughing at his jokes. If the Stamp Collecting Society got permission to do a display I don’t think that entitles the Stamp Collectors are a Bunch of Pussies that will never get Laid Society to get equal consideration because it’s just a hate group. Well, typing that makes me think I’m technically wrong. That’s is what my sense of right and wrong tells me is decent behavior. But there is the constitution that I strongly believe in that allows hate groups like the KKK and the Westboro Baptist Church that look to be a blight on society and it’s better they operate out in the open where they can be seen then to fester in hiding. They are trolling Christmas and Hanukkah and simply should be ashamed of themselves. ---

Well, that depends on where the display is. If the display is on privately-owned property, then you’re totally right. It’s okay for private individuals to play favorites with their own property. But when you’re talking about government property, that belongs to the Stamp Collectors are Pussies Society just as much as it does to the Stamp Collecting Society. Playing favorites with communal property, allocating it entirely for the use of one set of owners and denying another set of owners any access, is completely, entirely, wholly wrong. It’s a violation of the concept of communal property, and is a real asshole way to behave. When the communal property is the government, and owner access is based on religion, it’s also unconstitutional.
