As much as I would love to see DB and Satan again, I shall have to decline. I’ve already earned my “crazy enough to drive WHERE?” Doper badge. 😉 ---

Where is Fretful Porpentine, and Polycarp, and Mjollnar? I know you all live around here… Will you be available to join us? _::my most winsome smile, and entreating voice::_ ---

Over on the [url=http://fff.fathom.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000073.html]parallel thread\* on Opal’s board, Poly says that he and the missus are coming (Yea!!), and Tris has said he’s insane enough to drive to hell and back with me over the weekend. (I know you know all this, aenea; I figured it couldn’t hurt to update people who don’t wander over to the F3MB.) And Surgo’s posts over there sure make it sound like he’s planning on being at one or more of the get-togethers on the 17th, but if he’s just attending one, I have no idea which. I think that’s everything for now… ---

Thanks for the winsome smile, aenea, but I must graciously decline – I’ll be in Ireland, or possibly France, on the 16th. Be thinking of you all, though… ---

Add Bask (aka Smooth Operator on the 3FMB) plus one or two she is aware of that are coming, and we will have ourselves a little party. Can’t forget Surgoshan either. BYW, RT, Surgo will be making the drive up to DC for the evening festivities too, I believe. ---

I go right through Five Points every day - if anything, at least now I know of a place to go for a malt. I would like to drop by for your get-together. I’ve been a regular visitor since last year, but I guess I’m more of a voyeur. Is there a minimum post limit required to attend? ---

No minimum post count necessary darlin. All are welcome. Please do come and see us. For most of us, it will be the first time we have met, so you won’t be among unfriendly strangers. Just friendly strangers. ---

“lurker”??? I guess I’ve been called worse… Now I definitely need to go by the grill and check out the prices. Then I can figure out how much plasma I need to sell. [((malt)+(burger)) x (#dopers)] = [(/pint plasma) x (pints)] (bump) ---

No fair Satan (can’t believe I said that 🙂 ) Compared to your posts, we are all newbies. However, I may be able to buy at least one round…depends on how many show up and what they’re drinking. But don’t hold me to it. ---

I saw this before and didn’t post, hoping I could work out my schedule to drive up to Raleigh (I’m in Columbia)…despite the fact that I’m generally a lurker… I am still not sure I can make it, as my SO is moving that weekend and my help is required. However, I’ll try! Attending this illustrious gathering would be certain to boost my status around here 😃 [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/satans-summer-shindig/18363.md?page=1) [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/satans-summer-shindig/18363.md?page=3)
