Bri – Clarification, please. The summer shindig is happening when? Post Aug. 18, I’m in. Pre Aug. 18, y’all suck. If someone could e-mail me the plans, I’d 'preciate it, as I could then roger up or beg off. ---

You posted earlier that you are marking in your day planner the last weekend of August, and the first weekend of Sept. as being available for an East Coast gathering. Are you still free those dates? That’s when we were planning _your_ shindig. ---

If anyone in the Raleigh area tonight (Friday, June 2, 2000) would like to check out a _hopefully_ cool Godzilla-esque Film Festival starring ::drumroll:: Rodan, cruise by the Museum of Natural Sciences downtown between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Very short notice, I know, but it’s worth a mention. Otherwise, see you guys in 2 weeks! > [@](#): > > First Friday: Festival RODAN! > Friday, June 2 > Free > The Museum hosts a tribute to our favorite flying reptile, Rodan. See choice bits from Tokyo-wrecking films (including Godzilla), clips from flying dinosaur documentaries, and interviews with the men who gave life to the rubber-suit monsters. Presented by A/V Geeks. Co-sponsored by the Independent Weekly. Sponsored by The News & Observer. When downtown, catch a free ride to the Museum on the Raleigh Entertainment Trolley. 1. Over on the [F3MB](http://fff.fathom.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000073-2.html), Falcon rather emphatically said she was coming. 2. Over on the [Balt-DC Dopefest](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=21224&pagenumber=3) thread, John Corrado yesterday said he had a conflict and wouldn’t be joining the Raleigh trip. That’s all’s I know, for now. ---

Well . . . . I have to work that Saturday until 7PM, but I could be in Raliegh by 8:30 that evening if anyone thinks this “Shindig” will go that long. (Oh, and provided anyone cares if I come or not.) Not sure how to work this, but I would really enjoy meeting some of you. Hmmmmmmmm. ---

For those that are interested, the DC fest is the same date, but will be in the evening. Several of the attendees of Satan’s Shindig will be driving back to DC in the afternoon. **Nothingman** , if you could attend either gathering, you would be very welcome. Most of us are meeting for the first time, so you would not be a stranger alone. ---
