Thorstein Veblen explained this perfectly-having a ridiculously expensive watch shows that you are rich, and therefore able to afford such a trinket. But the watch is still ugly! ---

What the heck are they shipping the box in that it weighs 13 pounds and the product is 1 pound? Really 12 pounds of shipping material? Or am I missing something here? ---
